Insert excerptAdmin User ManualAdmin User ManualnopaneltrueClicking on the Statistics menu item in the blue ribbon takes you to the SORMAS statistics module. This provides you with customizable evaluation options for the cases and thus an overview of possible outbreak events. The evaluations can be displayed both in tabular and graphical form, giving you various options for displaying the current epidemiological situation in the respective country.

...

By default, selecting the Statistics menu item opens the Statistics tab with various evaluation and display options for the epidemiological situation.

The tab is divided into the case-specific filter options (C), the selection of the visualization (D), settings for the output of the displayed data (E), and results (F), which are generated by clicking on "Generate".

...

Filters

You can use the filter to specify the extent to which the aggregated data should be restricted for your analysis. You have the option of adding one or more filters (A) or resetting previously set filters (B). To stratify the data, click on "Add filter" and then select the relevant characteristic (C).

...

The drop-down menu in the "Select an attribute" field offers you time-, location-, person- and case-specific attributes that you can specify further in the next step.

...

For example, you can select the respective gender for the "Gender" feature or enter the region, the district or the independent city (urban district), the community and the city with the zip code, if applicable, for the "Place of residence" feature. You can define the selection individually.

...

Visualization

You are offered various options for visualization. For the visualization type (A), you can choose between an output in table form, as a map, or in different diagrams. Below you can see the output as a table for which you group the rows (B) and columns (C). As with the filter, you can choose from time-, location-, person- and case-specific characteristics.

...

When selecting the "Map" visualization type you can choose between a map of the federal states and a map of the districts or cities.

...

The third type of visualization is the chart. Here you are offered four different chart types, the bar chart, the stacked bar chart, the line chart and the pie chart (A). Here too, you can make a grouping with time-, location-, person- and case-specific characteristics for both the Y-axis, here called series (B), and the X-axis (C).

...

An exception is the pie chart, where only the series (B, Figure 110) can be grouped, as this only has one axis.

...

Options

The Options can be used to specify whether the output should be shown as the number of cases or the case incidence. The incidence describes the relative frequency of new cases of disease in a population/group of people within a certain period of time. It is possible to determine the incidence denominator yourself by selecting "Case incidence". By default, this denominator is 100,000 persons. You can also display the zero values (A) by ticking the "Show zero values" box.

...

Results

By clicking on "Generate", the output shows you the number of cases or the case incidence in total. You can further restrict this output using the filter function and display it in tabular or graphical form if the "Visualization" field is fully selected and grouped. Depending on which visualization type you have selected, a table, a map or a diagram appears below the blue "Generate" box.

...

Your results can be exported as Excel in the case of a table (A) or downloaded and printed in various file formats (PDF, JPEG, XLS) in the case of a diagram (B).
